Many Confederate officers and men brought servants along with them, but it's darn near impossible to find CSRs for servants because names were not placed on roll. Servants received rations from their owners, who had to split their alloted portion to do so, or pay for extra food if it was available. As you can imagine, this wasn't easy to do on a day-to-day basis.
