Captain James M Roark, has 123 cards and documents in his compiled records, more that most from Texas. He was a Brev.2Lt in 1861, elected Captain at the "ripe old age" of 24, in 1862 and served in the same company thur out the war. He was at Battery Green, Galveston,Tx. when the war ended. Most documents are from the time he was AAQM at Ft. Clark. His home of record,was Parker county,Tx. Joined April 13,1861 at Weatherford,Parker co. Tx. Mustered in May 23,1861 at San Antonio,Texas.
