Sometimes things just appear out of place yet it appears in the correct place. Lt. D.P. Gallaher of the 2nd Texas Infantry was taken prisoner at Fort Donelson, TN on Feb. 16, 1862. I realize the 2nd Texas as a unit was NOT at Donelson as far as I know. Does anyone have any ideas how this lone Texan Infantry soldier would end up as a Ft. Donelson prisoner and taken to Johnson's Island via Camp Chase?
