I find Pvt. Alson Robbins, age 33, married, residence Fairfield,NC, on muster roll dated June 24,1862 in Captain Bradley's Company, this Company became Company B 2d Infantry Battalion Waul's Legion. He was listed on Nov/Dec 1862 return as AWOL (captured during retreat at Rocky Ford). On list of prisoners moved from Provest Marshal office at Holly Springs,Ms. to Cairio,Il. Listed on report of POW's at Gratiot Street Military Prison St Louis,Mo. Captured Dec 4,1862,Lafayette County,Ms. received Feb 28,1863. Forwarded from St.Louis on July 24,1863 to City Point,Va. for exchange. He was paid 4 months pay on Aug 8,1863 at Camp Lee,Texas. This Company became Company A Timmon's Regiment Texas Infantry, but I did not find his name there. There is an S.A. Robbins.I did not find his name on 28th Rolls.
