Thanks again Johnny Reb. I agree with you on the death date. The AMA book was guessing. I googled up the cemeteries for Memphis, Hall Co., TX and a tombstone in the South Fairview Cemetery located at D-48-7 reports Dr. Temple's death year as 1906. Dr. Roger Landers of Brooksville, FL sent along a resource: B. B. Paddock, History and Bibliographical Record of North and West Texas, Vol. II, pp. 35-36 has a very good biography of Dr. J. R. Temple. Still can't find the key to the numbers assigned to the Brooksville Blue and Gray Association, but can narrow the time frame down to between 1881 and 1897 when Dr. Temple was in that area.
