The Texas in the Civil War Message Board

Wilmouth; Wood County; Wells' Battn; Brush Battn

Please help identify two soldiers, probably from Wood County TX, who were in the Confederate Brush Battalion and Wells’ Battalion. ..About seven (7) soldiers of the Brush Battalion were from Wood County TX while three (3) in Wells’ Battalion were from Wood County TX.
.
Reuben Wilmouth of Wood County, for sure, was in both Wells’ Battn and the Brush Battn.
.
E.G. and E.J. Wilmouth. .. I think the “E. G. Wilmouth of Wood County” is the same person as “E. J. Welmith of Wells’ Battn,” but I cannot find him in the census. ..Same with W. D. Welmith. Who was “W. D. Welmith”?
