Family lore has it that Reuben Ross, my 2nd great grandfather, sold horses to the CSA. He would have been living in Coryell Co., TX during the war, but also had holdings in McLennan, Bell, Palo Pinto, and Throckmorton counties. Could someone suggest how and where I might research for possible proof of this? Thank you.
