FOUND William Taylor on the list

Wow, I was doing research for the book I am writing on Likens' 35th Texas Cavalry and by good fortune happened to notice Woods' 36th Cavalry so I could help you and some other people with look-ups.

Thank-you for the detail that you provided in your request. The following information appears
"Company G.....Wounded: Corpl W. A. Taylor, in the leg, severly"

That is all the information printed in the newspaper. My guess is he died later of his wounds. There is no mention of the name of the battle, date, nor person who submitted the information to the newspaper.

On April 12, 1864 Likens' 35th and Wood's 36th Regts were with General Tom Green at Blair's Landing. Louisiana so "maybe" he was mortally wounded at Blair's Landing, but Mansfield and Pleasant Hill are also likely.

Thanks again for your well-written request and good luck with your research.
