Henry W. Davis was a Captain in the 1st New York Light Artillery and was wounded, 23 May 1864, during the battle in the Jerico Mills area of VA. On 27 May, he died in the hospital at Port Royal. Is there a cemetery at Port Royal where Union war causalities were buried? There's a headstone for him in the family cemetery in New York but his war records indicate he was buried at Port Royal.
