First issue flags

Here's a question for all you flag experts out there. The 7th Va's first flag, received at Manassas in November of 1861, had the honors Williamsburg and Seven Pines on it. The 7th Va was issued a new flag a day just before Pickett's Charge, and that flag, with it's white lettering, is in the Museum of the Confederacy. It was captured at the wall. My question is, what did they do with the 1st issue flags? They were not present in the brigade after the charge, so where did they go? Any help with this obscure question will be greatly appreciated.
