Keith..if your ggg-grandfather was wounded at the Battle
of Saltville,Va. , then he would have been taken to the
Emory & Henry College Hospital, which is near by Saltville.
Two ( 2 ) battles were fought in Saltville.The first was
in Oct. 1864 and the second was in Dec. 1864.

There is a section of the cemetery,at Emory & Henry College ,set aside for soldiers killed during the
battles near by .They are buried there many soldiers
from different Confederate States.
