As you can tell from my name I have a sincere interest in the history of this person since it is very likely that he is my direct ancestor.I am the 6th generation of Baker P. Lee but the generational markers (junior, Senior, III, etc.) are usually removed in our lineage after an antecedents' death. My great grandfather traced our lineage back directly to the Lee who received a land grant from the king of England in the 1600s to build an estate along the potomac river. I'd be interested to find out what the middle name was of "Major" Baker P. Lee, and whether your records indicate he named a son Baker P. Lee, Jr. or similar.
