Pvt. William Colston Robinson, Co. G, 6th Va. Inf.

Searching for letters, journals, and other personal documents referencing the life and military service of William Colston Robinson, who served as a private in Company G of the Sixth Virginia Infantry during the Civil War. He was wounded in 1862 at the Second Battle of Manassas and killed the following year at the Battle of Bristoe Station. A brother, Cary, also served and died during the war. William was born in 1845, and was the son of Judge Conway Robinson and Mary Susan Leigh Robinson.
