The story goes that....

The family story, whether true or not, goes that my ggrandfather Asa Barton Reynolds, served with his neighbor and friend, John Henry Spence. After being fatally wounded, Spence asked Reynolds to take care of his widow, Susanna. Asa came home and married her. Their marriage date was 10 July 1865. They had six children together. Asa had eleven children with his second wife, my g-grandmother, Polly Bradner.
