I'm proud of my military VA families.
This is my gg-grandfather, Thomas Jackson Bradner of Carroll Co VA.
BRADNER, THOMAS JACKSON: Co. E. Born in Halifax Co. in 1829. Enl. 5/29/61 at Wytheville. He was a ferryman. Received reenlistment bounty 4/20/62. NFR. He transf. to the 29th Va. in 1863. Living in Carroll Co. in 1898, age 69. source: 45th VA Inf. roster.

Company: F
Unit: 29 Virginia Infantry.
He was also in Co. E of the Virginia Infantry.
He was wounded in battle on May 16 1863 Drewery's Bluff
Library of VA pension documents show that he received a
gunshot wound in left arm and artillery shell in right eye
pensioned at age 65 in 1888
