The Federals called the battle St. Mary's Church, while the Confederates called it Samaria Church; I am told that the church was called Samaria. The closest National Cemetery is at Glendale, only a few miles from the site. However, since the Federals did not hold the field, it is probable that many of the Federal dead were hastily buried in mass graves or where they fell. Try the caretaker of the National Cemetery.
