Re: Amelia Minutemen 44th VA Co H

The Virginia Pension Applications are always a good source of information on individual soldiers, adding details on war injuries, etc. The Goochland County Historical Society Magazine, vol. 15 (1983) has an article on the History of the Byrd Rifles (Co. B). The memoirs of Benjamin A. Jones of Co. F are on file at the Virginia Historical Society in Richmond. A roster with brief notes on the members of Co. G, Randolph Guard, can be found in the Southern Historical Society Papers, vol. 23, pp. 94-97.
