1816 Bayonte

I am in the need of a little help. I have an 1816 bayonet with the stampings,

US

HJ
I am unable to find the HJ stamping anywhere. I have had a couple of people look at it and all have said it is an original 1816 but have no idea who the HJ is. It is not listed in any book that I have checked. Could it be a John Hall backwards ? The dimensions are as follows.

Overall length 19 in
socket 3 in
flute 9 in
blade 15 15/16

If any one can help I would sure appreciate it. Thanks in advance.
I do have some pics if we need them.
