Edward O. Guerrant's Diary entry for Oct. 4, 1862 states that "Mrs. H. Hamilton gave the Notty Artillery a handsome flag." This apparently occured at Paris, Ky.
Captain Jeffress's Compiled service record contains a receipt for "one battle flag"; dated April 30, 1864 while atationed at Dallas, Ga.
