This is my first posting to this message board. I hope that someone will be able to answer my questions.

My gr gr grandfather, William L. Hail, alias Daniel J. Moore, was with the Hazelwood Volunteers, CO. E, 7th Reg't of the Va Vol Inf at the Battle of Milford Station. He was capturen there by the Union Army and put into prison at Point Lookout, Maryland.

I have tried to find a account of this battle but have not been successful. I would be, of course, interested in knowing the path of the 7th Reg't in this battle and, if possible, a map of the battle ground would be great.

My gr gr grandfather later became a Galvanized Yankee joining the Co. G, 1st US Vol Inf at Point Lookout, Maryland and was sent to fight Indians.
