I have discovered a new and intact fort outside Petersburg along Hatcher's Run, Fort Euliss.

Rumor has it that it was named for an officer who commanded there probably between Feb. 65 and April 2 65.

The rumor further says that the officer was either from North Carolina or South Carolina.

Can anyone tell us who that officer was?
