Using as a guide Jay S. Hoar's book - "The South's Last Boys in Gray", I am trying to identify the last surviving members of the Army of Northern Virginia that were present at the July 1863 Battle of Gettysburg. Hoar did not really address the subject in his book, so I'm using the process of elimination to determine candidates. I checked with park service historian John Heiser @ Gettysburg on the subject, and he indicated that he could not find anything in park service files. I'm trying to see where a Georgian I am researching stacks up against those who outlived him.
