Thanks, am familiar with the writings of Branch. Also the report of James H. Lane.
They both identify the Stonewall Brigade as routed when other historical evidence show that only the 27th VA of the brigade suffered through that.
The 27th VA's position was to the left of the North Carolinian's and they would unlikely have encountered the 37th NC.
However, still want to see Lenoir's statement to verify.
