On August 16 under orders from Grant, butler sent two expeditions against the Confederate lines. The first pushed north from the bottom and tested the defenses of new market Heights.

The second expedition crossed the James river in boats from Dutch gap and seized signal hill south of Fort Harrison. The federals held the fort for a day and a half and then with Drew.

I need to know which regiments were engaged and I also need to know the details of what happened at signal Hill.
