April 9, at the above engagement, Griffin's Fifth Corps was arrayed to the right of Gibbon's Twenty-Fourth Corps. In the Civil War Trust Battle map, I see Bartlett's and Crawford's Divisions, but not Ayres'. William Powell's Fifth Corps History (Putnam and Sons, 1896) definitely places Ayres at the front. Can someone clarify for me the whereabouts of Ayres Division on the morning of April 9, 1865, and (if possible), Stanton's Maryland Brigade.
