My book describes in detail the adventures and exploits of McNeill's Rangers, a small partisan band that roamed the Potomac Highlands of eastern WV. and the Shenandoah Valley. They are most known for their earkly morning Feb. 21, 1865 capture of Major Generals Crook and Kelley from their Cumberland,MD. hotel rooms. Former Antitam NPS historian Ted Alexander has called it "one of the most important Civil War books in years."
