In some documents he is referred to as William Henry Anthony and some as William Hand Anthony. William attended the University of Virginia in sessions 23-25 (1846-1849) and became a lawyer. So that doesn't match up with the blacksmith either, unless he was both. He was from Botetourt Co, VA and lived in Fincastle and Buchanan.
