I have seen an undated index card where Robert H. Roberts is identified as a member of the 34th Va. Inf. (formerly 4th Va. H. Art.). Researcher info gives his death date as March 8, 1862. From what I have found the 34th was not organized until May 1862. I would like to find details of his service if possible. The only action that I have found in Virgiinia on March 8th was the Battle of Hampton Roads and I doubt he was involved in that. He could have, however, died of illness or previous injury or the date may simply be incorrect.
