I was told by Mr. Thomas Wiatt who's ancestor was Chaplin William E. Wiatt that Chaplin Wiatt wrote two letters to my ancestor Benjamin's mother Nancy during the war.

My ancestor's name is Benjamin F. West and he served with Company "E" 26th Virginia Infantry Regiment.

One was dated July 25th 1863.
