George, Thanks for your two replies. I'm wondering if, since brother Richard was paroled at Appomattox but Joseph was not, he might have died during the winter/spring of '65. I imagine that will likely remain an unsolved mystery unless a family record of some sort turns up. Mike Lee, Lynchburg
