I am looking for accounts of this battle which involves two gunboats fighting against dismountedCavalry under James Dearing. Graham’s Petersburg Battlefield I thought the two gun boats.

When I checked the official records of the Navy I was surprised that there was no reference to this battle. I haven’t checked volume 36 parts one or two for official reports, but I have checked the correspondence in volume three and found two or three pages of information.
