I just got an email from Mary Daugherty Who wrote a biography of Rooney Lee. She says company H was indeed the lee’s rangers which later became the ninth Virginia cavalry. I was surprised to learn that the Rangers were named after light horse Harry Lee, the father of Robert E Lee
