There is an interesting story behind this name.

In the closing hours at Appomattox a brigade of Confederate cavalry attacked the 11th Maine and the rest of its brigade. Lt. Maxfield was captured by Arbuckle and his sword confiscated. Fifty years later they located each other and Arbuckle returned the sword.

I need to know what unit Arbuckle was in. Most likely he was in a Virginia regiment since most of the cavalry attacks were launched by Virginians.
