Adams Battery/30th Battalion Sharpshooters

I have been doing some research on Adams Battery which was attached to the Army of the Kanawha. In searching past posts I ran across this one, which intrigued me more. Not sure if it means battles after 63. But if my current research is correct, Adam's Battery was reorganized as the 30th Battalion Sharpshooters?
Adams Battery was at Donelson and most of their guys were captured. However the 51st escaped Donelson I believe. Dont know if this accounts for the below question.

However the reason for this post is to find out if anyone has any information at all on Adams Battery at Donelson or during their stent in West Virginia pre 62. The history of the Gauley Artillery and the Virginia regimental books I have read, however some of the details are very sketchy in regards to historical accuracy concerning Fort Donelson.

Any Help would be appreciated.

John Walsh

I was looking the Compendium of Confederate Armies, Virginia. The 30th BN. Sharpshooters joined Wharton's Brigade on April, 1863. When comparing there battles with the 51st Virginia Infantry. They seemed to have only fought in about a third of the battles as the 51st Virginia when they were assigned together in Wharton's brigade. All of the other Virginia infantry units in Wharton's brigade seemed to have missed alot of combat when compared to the 51st Virginia Infantry battles. Anybody know why? Publishing error? Thanks Rick
