The Virginia in the Civil War Message Board

Re: 9th va cav. co.a

I am looking for info concerning my gg-grandfather Bolivar C. Combs, who died August 14, 1862. He was a soldier of the 9th Virginia Cavalry, Stafford County Rangers, Co. A, who enlisted April 21 1861.
I have his service records, however the info is scant-just pay days. I would like to find out where he and his troop was at the time of his death and also where he could have been buried. If anyone of you knowledgeable Civil War buffs have the info I am looking for I would really appreciate hearing from you. Thank you. Kitty
