The phot I remember, from The Photographic History of teh Civil War, was of a coehorn mortar, in a sort of square box of wooden beams, as protection. The mouth of teh mortar looked to be about 10 or 12 inches, so I guess a rail care was the only way to move it around. I'd like to see a turreted cannon, as described. Stan
