John W. Smith's pension app states he was in Co. D. 27th Battalion. This was Scott Co., Va. Another soldier John Taylor states he was in same. James Taylor states he was in Smiths Co. 27th Cavalry. James gives Capt. Francis M. Smith and a Hensley as officers. I can't find anything about this company. Can anyone help? Thanks
