I think they were in Battery 10 and/or 11, immediately north and east of Ft Harrison, until run out by Jourdan's Brigade, Heckman's division, XVIII Corps before 8 AM on 29 Sept. I'm trying to correlate several first person accounts from Jourdan's federal brigade and Benning's Georgia Brigade, who met each other along the same stretch of works as which the James City artillerists were deployed. I don't have anything on the battery (besides what Sommers has), but an account or two from them could really help me nail down where things happened.
