Confederat ancestory and,,reenactment groups ?

Gents, my genealogy is right now under work. It seems that quite a number, quite a few last names, of my family served Virginia in the CW.

At the present , Jacob J. Hagar , seems to be a rather interesting grandfather. I just got a email today with an application he made in Bland Co, Va, for an artificial limb (lower leg).

I will wait till it get it all a bit more organized and then will mostly gladly share with the board.

Next topic...

CW reenactment contacts ? Iv been an 18th century frontier reenactor form 30 years I'd say, and am now moved into the interest of the CW era.

Id like to find some contacts to CW reenacting. I love the firearms of the period (being an avid shooter) and spend a great deal of black powder thur my Colt and Remington revolvers.

Now, I want to expand into a greater depth in this segment of my family's heritage.

Any help would be most appreciated.

I remain,

Marshal Deadwood * a devout Son of Mother South land
