General Garnett in official union report?

In the official Report of Col Norman V. Hall 3 Bde/II Div
reprinted in Vol 3 "Battles and Leaders of the Civil War"
.pp.390-391 on Picket's Charge reports that Garnett and Amistead were picked up near a point to the right of the 3rd Brigade where the 2nd Brigade joined the 3rd.
Does this mean Garnett could have been picked up as a POW-but died and was buried in Unknown hospital grave within
Union Lines?
