I haven't heard back as to his burial site, but, based on the fact that he "died at the residence of Thos. Cunningham's Richmond, Va on the 8th Sept. 1864", odds are, he was buried in the Oakwood Confederate Cemetery, Richmond.

His company's muster roll of 6/6/64 records him as "Absent sick in Brigade Hosp."

His furlough papers give the following as a description of him, cannot make out if the figure 6 is correct. Age, 16, 5' 6", light complexion, dark eyes, light hair.

I'll let you know when I get confirmation.
