Re: Marriage in Virginia - Frank Field(s)

To all...

I cannot say enough about the Library of Virginia. Thank you O. Lee. I was looking for a military record for Dr. Robert G. Holloway, who was assigned as an assistant surgeon with the 30th Alabama Reg. I went to NPS, and no record. I went to Library of VA's listing for CSA vets., no record. I then checked the pention application section of the Library of Virginia, and there it was, It total, six pages that can be downloaded and printed (copys of the origional. Dont get discouraged if you don't find your relative in one spote. Keep looking. Even at the Library of Virginia not all indexes and document lists are cross referenced. Just follow one location after another and keep an open mind. (Oh yeah, a little prayer and a little luck doesn't hurt either.
