Thanks for the referral to the Virginia State Library. I work with them regularly because of the Military Records Research Service, we offer through the message boards. I have pursued this question with them, but, no luck.

I also hold this institution in high regard; however, I would place a caveat on the downloadable pension files recommendation. It is a great resource, but many of the files are difficult or impossible to read. I wish they were a little higher resolution or gray-scale versus black and white images.
