Re: Soldier lookup, Bedford Co. Va.

Here's another Fielding that is a possibility:

Benjamin F. Fielding, Enlisted on 6/3/1861 at White Hall, VA as a Private. On 6/3/1861 he mustered into "I" Co. VA 7th Infantry. He died of wounds on 8/19/1861 at Charlottesville, VA. He was listed as: Wounded 7/18/1861 Blackburn's Ford, VA (Wounded arm & hand)

Also listed as having been wounded July 18, 1861 at the Battle of Bull Run. Farmer, 28 years old, enlisted at White Hall having travelled 14 miles to place of muster. One card states death due to "Mortification of Arm."
