William Alonzo Rinehart Residence was not listed; 16 years old. Enlisted on 5/1/1862 at Fincastle, VA as a Private. On 5/1/1862 he mustered into "C" Co. VA 2nd Cavalry

He was listed as:
* Wounded 7/8/1863 Boonsboro, MD
* Hospitalized 7/15/1863 Charlottesville, VA (With wound)
* Absent, wounded 6/30/1864 At Home
* Returned 7/15/1864 (place not stated) (Estimated day)
* Wounded 4/6/1865 High Bridge, VA (No further record)

Other Information:
born 4/5/1846 in Fincastle, Botetourt Co, VA
died 1/30/1921
Buried: Cedar Hill Cemetery, Covington, VA

His Compiled Service Record (CSR) file, presented on the web at Footnote, is under the name Elonza Rinehart, The file W. A. Rinehart refers to cards filed under the name Elonza Rinhart. He enlisted in Co. C, 2nd Virginia Cavalry [originally Radford's Regiment, Radford's Rangers, 30th Virginia Vols.] May 1, 1862 at Fincastle, wounded near Boonsborro, Md July 8, 1863, sent home thru February 1864 at least, recorded as sent to hospital Charlottesville March 20, 1864, last card dated December 27, 1864 is recorded, absent sick at hospital, $50 bounty due. There are only 8 cards in his file.

I suggest you order his CSR's to see if you can reconcile these two reports.
