According to an abstraction of the Compiled Service Records in the book 15th Virginia Infantry by Louis H. Manarin:

TAYLOR, JEFFERSON MONROE: Private, Company G. Conscripted on 8/23/1862 at Richmond and assigned to company from conscription camp. Present or accounted for through December 1864, when detached in Commissary Department of Corse’s Brigade. List of Prisoners in Libby Prison dated 4/10/1865 carries him with the remark “deserted”. Died on 5/28/1917 in Richmond. Widow: Eveline A. Taylor. (Married 6/30/1870, Richmond)
