I don't know if they are one in the same, but Fort Crafford certainly still exists on Ft. Eustis. I visited it a few times while I was stationed there 12 years ago. It was hard to access it then, I am sure it is not any easier. There isn't much to see. A hole in the ground where a house to stand. I couple depressions in the land that I thought where 2 small buildings used to stand that was the powder storage. Some of the walls of the fortification are 15-20 feet tall (from what I can remember) and used to have a moat around it (yes a moat). It was all dryed up and nearby there I actually found a dumped stash of WWI truck parts. I will be moving to NC in the next 6 months and hope to visit the site again in the next year and a half.
