post-war Southern magazine

Perhaps someone in this group can help me remember the name of a magazine I saw about ten years ago at the Virginia Historical Society.

This was a Southern magazine. It might even have been published in Richmond itself. The issues I saw were post-war. It was a typical magazine of its time in that it aimed at a middle class, educated audience and covered a variety of topics - it contained some literature, prose and poetry, some science, some travel articles.

But most important of all it contained the diary or reminiscence of one of Stuart's cavalryman for the summer of 1862. I think the trooper was in the Cobb legion or maybe the Hampton Legion.

Can anyone think of what this magazine might be?
