i would like to thank all who responed to my question on my kin william and palser surber.i know iam kin to the rouse family as wellby the marriage of joseph surber to mary rouse . a cousin patti burnett and another cousin from ohio ernie shelton have gone to clairborne co tenn and located the graves of joseph and mary and his 2nd wife m.r.wofenberger and the grave of waitstill surber her girl ruth married a shelton there .iam still trying to find out were william is burird at va. or wva.that is the question? to honer a confederate vet is my goal. to buried in a un-marked grave is just not right for any men. again i thank you all!i will look until i cant go on any more.
