Searching for info on Pvt. William Peters, 57th Reg., Co. C, Virginia Infantry. From Franklin Co., Va. Enlisted
July 21, 1861 at Pigg River, Franklin Co., Va. Wounded in Pickett's Charge, died the following day, July 3, 1863. Burial place uncertain. Any info at all beyond what I have would be appreciated. Also interested in making connections with any of his descendants who are researching him.
